The Boob Tube

     Ok so I'm a bit of a TV addict and can't get enough of reality TV. But i also love watching non-reality shows, so lets begin with a few of those. To start it of is my favorite show, I love this show its

Oh my what can I say. It is just the Greatest show ever, I can't get enough of it! If you've never watched it, you don't know what your missing. Go watch it and you'll fall in love with it. Now every time I see a man in a bow tie I sigh a little. I'm waiting for the doctor to come and take me with him. Next is this lovely new show,

its great! The music, the dancing, and the story line are fabulous. My favorite has to be the music, seriously I could listen to it for days, if you haven't watched it yet go check it out. Next we have

these ones I blame on my mother. She's obsessed with crime shows and I always end up watching them with her but I'm not complaining. I love watching re-run episodes of Law and Order SVU and Criminal Intent, I admit I was so disappointed when criminal intent ended, Goren was awesome, that man knew everything. Now on too another crime show

this is definitely my top favorite out of all the CSI shows. I don't know why, it just has something that the other ones don't, I could watch this all day. Now let's get into my reality show obsession. First is the one that started it all

yes the show everyone loves to hate. I love watching it, I've watched every episode since I got hooked. I've watched every spin off and every special, even the bio on them. Ok onto the next show, this one I get so excited when I hear that the next season is coming

The Real Housewives of Orange County. Woohoo! It just so juicy, they definitely started my love of watching the housewives. I loved New York and Jersey but they just got weird and waaay to dramatic. Recently I started watching the Beverly Hills housewives and I'm loving them. They are my mothers favorite, she hates watching the other ones except this one. And to end this little post its

I watched one episode and I got hooked. Yes I think abbey is a dictator, but I just can't stop watching it. It's like a car accident, you just can't stop watching it! She is so rude to these little girls and their mothers but they just keep going to her studio.

      Now lets move on to some honorable mentions that would have made this list but I didn't want this post to be that big. First, Joan and Melissa: Joan knows best,  Project Runway, Face Off, Ink Masters, The Big Bang Theory, 10 things you didn't know about, Full Metal Jousting, Pawn Stars, Friends, The Ellen Degeneres show, Cupcake Wars, The Chew, The View, finally Phineas and Ferb. I definitely have an odd jumble of favorite shows but that's me.

I won!

     So a few weeks ago I was looking at blog of an author who's books i've been reading since they first came out, seriously, I've read them all. Well she was having a contest for her re-release of her book skater boy, all you had to do was sign up, and at the end of the month 6 winners would be chosen randomly to get 6 prizes. The big prize was a $50 dollar gift card to Amazon and the other 5 were books from different authors who had been featured this month on her blog. Well guess who ended up being the lucky person getting a free book? That's right, me! I had no idea I even won until I looked at her blog today and saw the name of the six winners and one of them happend to be sabina. At first I thought, No, that can't be me, I never win, but low and behold right their in my mail box I got an e-mail informing me that I won! I am so stinking excited, I won something! Yay!! I smile everytime I see my name on there mentioned as the winner, from now on up signing up for any contest an author has.

Cost

     One of the things that bugs me is when I see little kids with cellphones, ipods, or any other advanced technological device. I have no idea what these parents are thinking about when they give their child an expensive device, they can mess that thing up really quickly so basically they're throwing their money in the trash. Their child does not need a cellphone if they're in the first grade, what are they going to do with it? Call Santa?
      Well the reason I brought this up is because my little cousins birthday was about a week ago, she turned 5, and guess what she got from her grandparents? An I pad 2! I pad 2, guys! She is 5 years old, what the heck is she doing with a 500 dollar item! Its just wrong, but I do understand why her grandparents bought it, they spoil her all the time. Seriously all she has to do is say she wants something and she gets it, I do not like it one bit. Come on, that little girl needs to learn the word no, she can't go through life thinking she can get whatever she wants. Its as if they are trying to buy her love, you can't buy love is what they need to understand. They need to stop spending money they don't have on expensive items.

Listen

     Okay, so many months ago I heard of these 2 awesome cello players called 2 cellos. If you haven't heard them yet, go look them up they are amazing. They take popular music and play them on the cello, but its not your average yo yo ma playing, its like they're playing an electric guitar, its so cool to listen and watch. Well I just saw that their CD came out and holy cow its awesome! They have a muse song on there, MUSE, my favorite band in the entire world! I can't get enough of their CD, its on repeat right now. Oh guys seriously, go and watch them on YouTube they are amazing, and they're pretty cute too ;) Just look at them

and they happen to speak Bosnian/Croation which just makes them even more cool.

Dumb

     I feel so dumb right now. I had this preconceived notion that I was pretty good in English type classes, so I get this assignment last week and bam. That notion that I can write a good paper on anything went straight to the gutter. This assignment was terrible, trying to write it was like pulling your nail off. It was so stinking hard, I hate it, HATE it. I could not come up with anything to write and when I finished I was relieved to wash my hands off it. I knew that this was the worst paper ever and to make me feel even worse I had to send it to my peer edit person in class. I thought okay she's going to say this was good, you need to add a better word here and stuff like that. Well I got my paper back and all sorts of stuff were written on it. I'm not saying it was bad, I thought that this girls edit was awesome, so awesome and smart that it made me feel terrible for writing such a bad paper. And I had to edit her paper too. It was awesome! What am I supposed to say to it, her paper is perfect, I mean PERFECT. I feel like the dumbest person ever and I can not wait to turn this paper in. I even feel like just e-mailing the teacher my paper and not showing up tomorrow in class, I know that's bad and I'll probably still go to class but right now I just feel like crap.

Gushing

     Guys I just have to tell you about the Best Book EVER! It's awesome, fantastic, and just gosh darned great! Now let me tell you a bit of my background, I love to read, seriously its an addiction. I read a book every day, im not kidding, I seriously read a book every day. Usually I've already read it but other times its a brand new book, now if I read a book and like it, i'll read it again sometime later. I won't remember when I read it or where, but i'll remember what it was about and what happened (this is also true for the books i didn't like). Now this book that I'm talking about, I remember everything about it. I remember where i read it and when.
     I had ordered this book a couple days before my graduation, I also ordered some other books but this one sooo stood out. This book showed up around 10 in the morning at my house on saturday. I remember beacuse that's when I had my family graduation party. I quicky ripped open the box and started reading a a little of each book but when I got to this one, I could not put it down. I was supposed to be helping my parents with the party but I could NOT put this book down. I would read for about 30 min, go to the living room and do something quickly and run back and start reading again. I finished it before the party even started.
     Now your wondering what on earth is she talking about. What is this book? Well ladies and gentelman this little book, the book that I would take with me if the house was on fire, the book that I read whenever i can, the book that sticks with me even after almost a year is...........DIVERGENT!!! Oh My Gosh!!! I am totally in love with four,(I know, odd name, but man he's yummy ;) ), hes just soo.... I can't even put it to words. He's so awesome!
     This book had me feeling everything, I even cried at one part, you know which one i'm talking about if you've read it. If you know me, then you know Im not a very emotional person, but man, I cried and not once, twice. Tris and four are just so darned cute together and their relationship seems so real, like they totally exist.

2nd week

     So this was my second week of school and it wasn't that bad. I surprisingly enjoy my American civilization class, I never expected to say that but its probably one of my favorite classes that I've ever had. I come home and tell my mom about all the interesting things I learned in there, like how I discovered that Columbus was an A-word. Seriously, I can't believe we have a holiday for him, an incorrect holiday too, it should be named Leif Ericson day. Oh and my criminal justice class is pretty fun, the teacher is cool, as is my history teacher, and I'm getting really interested in what were learning in their. My English class is a bit of a disappointment, it is not very fun and the teacher seems strict and a bit of a bore. I am going to be so bored in that class, I already know it and I've only had it for one day.
     Something terrible thing happened to me this week. It was so bad. My kindle broke!! Ahh, it was horrible, I take that thing everywhere with me and now it doesn't work. But not to worry, I called kindle support and am doing to get a replacement soon. So how did it break, well I was in the kitchen and put my kindle on the counter when all the sudden it fell and the screen was frozen. The page would not change no matter what I did, I couldn't believe it, I only had for about 6 months. It was my graduation present, so I did feel a bit guilty about breaking it but now I'm getting a new one, yay!

Start of something new

     So today was my first day at school and I've got to say that it wasn't that bad. I was supposed to have two classes today but the teacher was sick so I only had one class. That was pretty awesome, and my history class wasn't so bad. The teacher seems pretty cool and I got a kind surprise. I had one of my friends in that class! That was pretty cool, now I have a homework buddy if I ever need one, yay! So far college is pretty good but I know that it will get harder. Oh and guess who gets no summer vacation? That's right, this girl right here. I'm going to school for the summer semester and I'll be going in the fall and then spring again, yay! It will get tough but I'll hopefully finish all my generals by next year and by then I hope to know what field I'll be going into. I'm kind of stuck between dental hygiene and doing something with an English degree, so well see what happens

Freaking the Freak Out!!

      I am freaking out! Tomorrow is my first day in College, and its making me crazy. I signed up for classes on Wednesday, classes which started on MONDAY!! If you know me well, you know how I hate starting something new unprepared, especially late. I am freaking out that I've missed important things, and I know that I've missed a lecture because I saw it online. I have an autobiography due in that class tomorrow, which I'm working on at this moment. Everyone is telling me not to worry, because the fist week of class is just about going over the syllabus and getting to know the class, well that's nice to hear but that's not what I think. I think that I've missed TWO days of classes, classes that they haven't been in! I feel so unprepared and scared, I know how childish this is going to sound, but I want someone to hold my hand through this. I do not like going through new things by myself, I want someone to stand by me and give me support.
      I have no idea what to expect tomorrow morning, I have two classes one at 7 am and another at 9 am. That means that I have an hour between the two to worry about the next class and what am I supposed to do for an hour? Shall I tell you what Classes I have now and when? I have 4 classes this semester each 3 credit hours which means I am taking 12, which makes me a full time student, yay! One class I'm taking online, it the Foundation of Nutrition, which I just took cause I needed an elective but who knows I could learn lots of new stuff about the foods I eat.  The two classes I'm taking tomorrow are American Civilization and Intro to Criminal Justice. I'll have those Mon, Wen, & Fri. , and I'm kind of excited for Criminal justice, some of my favorite shows to watch are crime shows ( hello, can you say Law & Order fan over here!). Oh and that autobiography I'm working on is for American Civilization
     My final class, which I kind of can't wait to have is Diversity in American Literature. I love English, it was my favorite subject in High School and I love to read. See I didn't really have to take this class, it counts for the Humanities part in General Education and I'm done with that part but I did want some English class since the class I needed, English 2010, was full, so I took a class that sounded interesting and was English. That class I have on Mon and Wen. and its at 10. I am going to stop here since I really need to get back to that assignment. Thanks for listening, or really reading, this rant. Resolutions

A New Year means making and breaking your resolutions. We all start with a great goal for the year and 3 weeks later we fall off the wagon. Well not this year, cause this girl will stick to it! In a few weeks (when I get it) I'm starting the P90X challenge. That's right, 90 days of intensive workouts but I'm not giving up, I am going to lose weight and get into shape this year. A lot of whining and exhaustion will be going on during this time, but I'll have that goal in mind the whole time. Its going to be hard and its going to be scary and at time's I know I'll want to quit, but Im not giving up! Hear me roar!
     And my second resolution is to go to Vegas again this year. I had a blast when I went last summer and I can't wait to go again. I have a new list of things I need to see and do while I'm there. Last years was to go to Madame Tussauds, see M & M world, go to the Shark Reef, and do some shopping. This years list is to go to the Tournament of Kings, see Celine or Terry Fator (one or the either, because both are expensive), go to Madame Tussauds again, and do some shopping! Man I got a great deal last year at one of the boutiques in the Luxor (a great hotel to stay at), I spent 200 dollars and got a 100 dollars off, so I only spent 120 on 220 worth of clothes! I still think about that deal, its like I said in an earlier post I love a good bargin!
    

Shoes

Shoes, shoes, and more shoes. If I had a bigger closet, and bigger wallet, I would be rich on shoes! I can never resist a good bargain on a pair of cute shoes, which makes me a bit of an impulse buyer but one with really cute shoes. ;)

Triangle Rant

     Ok what is going on with the romance in Young Adult books! It seems that every time I pick up a book there is a love triangle involved. Why? Do they think that everyone is a fan of this, because I'm not! I hate love triangles, they seem so unreal. Yes, I know, they probably happen to people, but personally I've never seen this except on TV and in books.     I hate reading about love triangles in books, they ruin the story for me. I just can't get into it, I hated reading one in Twilight, it almost ruined the entire series for me. Why do authors put these girls into these situations? Its hard for them and me. Its almost an entire genre in its self. There's mystery, romance, paranormal, and now love triangle. So many books that I started reading were so good but eventually got ruined by a "lovely" love triangle. I wish that some of these authors would warn you ahead of time, something like "Warning: This book contains a love triangle, read at your own peril" on the cover of their books.
    Love triangles play with your feelings and I do not like that. I hate it when the book starts of with the two main characters, and your like "aww they sound so cute together, they totally belong together, and I can't wait till they get together", but soon the author introduces a new character and the heroine is like "Omg, I feel something for this guy, why, and I think I should be with him". When this happens I'm screaming in my head "No, you idiot, you don't feel anything for this guy, your just making drama, go back to the guy that's perfect for you". It totally ruins the book, like the book Enclave by Ann Aquirre, it was so good until she added another love interest for Deuce. And I had such high hopes for it, but now I don't think I'll read the next book.
     Why is it always one girl and two guys? With that couple the reader is thinking "aww, she has a tough choice between two great guys" but what about one guy and two girls? If that were to happen, I bet the reader would totally love to chew out the guy, because then he would be a player. Its a total double standard which isn't fair, because really, the girl with two guys is a player. Ugh can we just stop with the love triangles! Its not fair to anyone and it ruins everything. So writers, please stop writing them or give me fair warning about whats to happen. I hate investing my time and feelings into a book, only to get gypped and hurt.
     Sorry for the long rant, but ugh! I just hate, hate, hate, the triangle which seems like the main theme in Young Adult books. It just needs to stop because its not entertaining its terrible and I'm waiting for the day when they stop.

Return

     For the past few months, since August, I've been a live in nanny for a couple who have three kids. I loved working for them, their little girl was the cutest thing ever! Adali be 9 months old on the 28th, and was the happiest baby I have ever meet! Seriously, I would wake up at 8 am go up stairs and she would just be laying in her crib playing with her hands and as soon as she would See me she'd start smiling, talking, and kicking her legs. She would only start whining when she was starving, you couldn't have a more well behaved baby!
     As of now I'm not working for them anymore, since her grandma came to visit and will be staying for a while with them. I'm going to miss that little girl, I already am missing her a bit, but as with the daycare kids, I'll get over it.  This experience has matured me tons, I was never really comfortable with baby's, they scared the crap out of me when one was put into my arms, but now I love having one in my arms. No don't worry I'm not in a hurry to have one, but they just make your day better just by holding them. Oh and I haven't mentioned the boys, Landon and Preston, Landon is 2 (3 on the 27th) and Preston is 4. They were very easy to please and a blast to play with. Landon was so sweet, he'd want to help me with anything I needed and Preston, man that was one smart kid. He'd remember something I mentioned a few days ago and remind me of it. He's going to be the smartest kid in school.
     This was a great job, and one that I might be returning to next year, so well see what happens. I can say that its great to stay home, since August I've only been home on the weekends which was not enough time to unwind, now I have so much time on my hands that I'm doing things I usually put off for a while, such as my laundry. This time also is giving me time to think of what I want to do with my life. Do I want to be a Dental Hygienist? Do I  want to go to school? And what am I doing with my life now, that's helpful for my future? Lot's of stuff to think about during this little break. I hope you all have a great Holiday Season and I'll be seeing you all next year!

Ah, long time no see! Man I am terrible at this blog thing, I start it and the I get bored and forget about it until something happens and I remember that I have somewhere to write all of it down. So what have I been up to lately is what your probably wondering. Oh well nothing much, just finishing HIGH SCHOOL!!! Yes, you've heard me, I am officially done with school, well till I start college! Senior year has been very memorable, I went to dances that I've never been too, almost died in school, had a friend almost die last week, and I graduated on Wednesday!

WHAT!? You almost died and in school is what your probably saying. Well during 4th quarter some idiot decided to make a bomb threat, which stalled classes, classes that we're very important to some people, like me, and we had to stay in the gym for over 3 hours almost 4, we were a few min. shy from it. It ended up being some kid who didn't want to go to class, hello if you don't want to go to class then stay home! Oh and my friend who almost died, well it was after school and she was crossing the cross walk to her mothers car across the street when some idiot sophomore sped out of the exit and hit her! She was ok, don't worry, but she has some bruises and scratches. On graduation she was limping a bit but she's getting their. Our senior trip was planned for this coming Monday but who knows now, I bet some people will be opting out because she can't go because her parents want her to rest and heal.
       Now how was school, well I'll leave that to the next post cause its getting late. Until then, Au revoir!

A Bronte Reading List

I don't know why, but i've been wanting to read Jane Eyre for the past couple of day. I believe I was watching Hair Spray with my mother when the father came on screen, Christopher Walken, and he reminded me of the Actor who played The Scarlet Pimpernel (One of my favorite movies). And I started thinking about movies around that time period and for some reason I thought of the movie Jane Eyre. So I went online to look up the movie because I couldn't remember how it ended and when I found out it made me want to read the book. While I was looking up some other books by the Bronte sister, I found some books that I had never heard of like Villette, Agnes Grey, and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, which sounded really good and was supprised that they weren't made into movie. So now im on a Historical fix again. I believe I shall go to the library tomorrow and try to find these books, wish me luck that they are not checked out! I just had to get that out, so good night!

School

I know, I know, I haven't posted anything on here for a while, but I have an excuse! Its school. I have been really busy lately with my government class and humanities class, I've only been in school for about 7 days but it feels like I've been their for months! Everyone tells you that your senior year of high school will be a blast but what they don't tell you is that its the most expensive year yet! School has basically emptied my wallet. I had to pay for my interior design class and I had to buy supplies, then I had to pay for my clothing class and buy fabric and supplies, I also had to buy a new humanities book because they had run out of the used ones. I also had to go and buy some new school supplies. That's a lot of money and I still have to buy more stuff!
         So far school has been great and I'm really excited for the school year. I have to say that my interior design class and mythology class are so far my favorites. My humanities class is pretty good so far, right now all we're doing is going over what humanities is and how to read our text books.

Fears

   I've been thinking about some off my fears and it seems like most of them are laughable. One fear that I have comes crawling into my dreams. What is this fear you ask? Well its Zombies! Whenever I think about them they make me shiver. Now it's not those kind of zombies you see running around on Halloween, its the ones that are in Horror movies, like Resident Evil. Why do I fear them? It could be because of what they mean, the end of the world. One of my reoccuring nightmares is that I'm running down a dark hallway with my mother, when I turn around she's gone. I'm all alone, the last human left. So I keep running, until I run into a room. The door is nailed shut and I'm in a dark corner shivering from the cold. The door starts shaking and moaning noises are coming from the other side, its the zombies. I'm suddenly in the middle of the room with a gun in my hand and I'm praying, begging god to spare me. That's when I wake up. So whenever I think about them, that's the image that comes up. Another fear is of bugs, not just spiders but any bugs. I also freak out a little bit when a bird fly's over my head. I have no idea when this bird fear came along but I do know that I don't want anything to do with them.
     So its school for me in one more day. I'm excited, I can't wait to get to my classes and see all my friends. The only thing I worry about is if I don't know where the class is ahead of time and that happens to be the case to one of my classes. I've never even heard of the classroom number, does it exist? Other then that school should be fun, fun, fun! Until next time

Day 2

      So my morning started off with a sore throat, fun!! NOT! After I took some medicine, I felt like going right back to sleep but I can't because I now work on Mondays. Monday's were my relaxation days but as off now, no more. When I got to work I was pleasantly surprised, we only had four kids in my classroom and they were the "good ones". Not an eventful day. I was supposed to go to a surprise birthday party for my friend camie but I have no ride their, so I get to stay home. I was hoping to go to Barnes and Noble but that did not happen. So after work I got home watched Total Drama World Tour and Degrassi: The Boiling point. Nothing big happened on either shows today. My day has been really boring. Oh last night I was messing around on Msn and found some fun stuff like numerology, astrology, tarot card, and a psychic test. If you don't know me then you wouldn't know that I love doing stuff like this! It's so interesting and fun to see how accurate these things could be. For my tarot card reading I got a very interesting card today, death! Ahh scary! I did not die today and bad things did not happen to me, other then the sore throat, so I don't know how accurate it was but I don't care, it was fun. Well until next time

First Post

So today I finally went back to Ross to return a pair of shoes for the third time. While I was their I found the cutest pair of shoes but unfortunately they didn't have it in my size. That was the most eventful thing that happened to me today, the rest of the day was spent reading, watching the Disney Channel( I know I'm such a nerd, 17 and still watching the Disney channel), and exploring facebook. Later today I went to Wal-mart and almost bought Keys to the Repository by Melissa de la Cruz, but decided against it because I could probably find it at the library and could buy more then one at Barnes and noble.
          I can not believe that I start my senior year of High school this Thursday! It seems like my summer just flew by and I haven't even done a thing. Probably because I've been working the whole time. I don't feel ready for school to start, I need to go buy some new clothes, get my hair done, buy some school supplys! Ahh, I feel overwhelmed and I haven't even done a thing! Oh and starting tomorrow I start working Monday thru Friday instead of Tuesday thru Thursday, which will be great because i'll have more hours which means more money for Moi!

.P.S. I was looking over what I wrote and it seems I forgot to mention where I work. Well I work at a Day Care and am one of the "teachers" for the 2's and 3's class. They can be pains in the butt, but they are so stinkin adorable! I might post some picture of them soon. Well I guess i'll be signing off now, so see ya later
